Are you looking for flowers that will make your backyard smell like vanilla ice cream?! These flowers are called Nemesia Escential Snowberry. This variety is known for having a sweet smell. Not all varieties have a fragrance.
People usually describe the scent as:
- vanilla-like
- sweet berry candy
- marshmallow
And the fragrance can be stronger on warmer days, in the evening and when planted outdoors in the full sun.
Nemesia are easy flowers to care for, and they bloom for a long time if they stay cool and are regularly trimmed. They do best in full sun to part shade. They can bloom from spring until fall.
The scent is strongest when you plant them somewhere you walk by often. I’ll let you know how they do on my patio table this summer.
